Justice Corcino of York was found with "life-threatening stab wounds" in the 900 block of East Philadelphia Street in York City at 1:02 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 30, York City police detailed in a release and a family friend, Desiree Stewart confirmed in a GoFundMe.

Justice was stabbed in the neck multiple times, according to the police.

He was taken to Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center where he died from a traumatic brain injury and stab wounds on Wednesday evening, according to Dauphin County Press Secretary Jennifer Fitch citing the coroner's autopsy results.

The police have a video of the stabbing and they believe an adult is responsible but they have yet to publicly name the suspect.

During the incident where Justice was stabbed, shots were also fired. The police have arrested the alleged shooter, 19-year-old Josiah Tyrone Matthews.

Matthews was charged with felony firearms not to be carried without a license and a misdemeanor for recklessly endangering another person is charged, according to his latest court docket.

He was previously arrested for marijuana use and receiving stolen property. He was out on bail for those offenses at the time of the shooting, previous current dockets show.

Matthews has been remanded to the York County Prison after being denied bail, his latest docket detailed. His preliminary hearing has been set before Magisterial District Judge Jennifer J.P. Clancy at 11 a.m. on Nov. 17.

A GoFundMe was launched to help Justice's parents Ashley Young and Kelvin Corcino cover the funeral and burial expenses. Desiree Stewart, who launched the campaign wrote, "Justice Corcino was a loving 17 year old who wanted nothing but his family to be happy!!! And he was taken from us to early!!!"

This is a feeling much of his community is sharing on social media.
